Monmousseau Wine House is located in the heart of the Loire Valley in Montrichard. This area is known for its architectural heritage, historical buildings and structures. There are castles such as Chambord, Chenonceau and Cheverny, which are associated with many important events in the history of medieval France. Therefore, these places are the object of increased attention of tourists. The story of the House of Montmusso began in 1886 when the ambitious Alcide Monmousseau discovered an abandoned quarry for the extraction of white sandstone. It was this stone (known in France as tuffeau) that was used to build castles. This quarry was the best suited for use as a wine cellar, since the temperature inside the whole year remains unchanged - 12 ° С. In addition, the humidity level here was also ideal not only for storing wine, but also for its production. So the Wine House of Monmousseau was born. At the beginning of the 20th century, Alcide Montmusso\'s nephew, Justin Marseille, after much research, came to the conclusion that Touraine terroir is very similar to Champagne terroir. Possessing unique wine cellars and using the production method used to create the House of Perignon champagne, Justin-Marseille began to create beautiful sparkling wines that are almost the same as Champagne wines. In 1930, the wines of Montmusso even became official at the royal court in Sweden. Today Monmousseau holds a leading position among French sparkling wine producers. Quiet wines are also produced in small quantities on the farm. Currently, the House of Montmusso is owned by Bouvet Ladubay, which is led by Patrice Montmusso. He devotes all his activities to developing the scale of production and maintaining the high quality of products. It should be recognized that sparkling wines from Bouvet Ladube are inferior in their perfection only to wines from Champagne.
