Information
This wine is a light yellow gold in the glass and has a wonderfully different bouquet of aromas, which include honey, apricots, and some tropical fruits like ananas.
In the mouth it is sweet yet balanced nicely with some acidity, and shows primary flavors of pineapple, quince, and fresh rainwater that fade into a nice finish.
Winemaking
Samples of grapes are taken and tasted in order to harvest them at optimum ripeness, and extract the best of each terroir’s characteristics. Pressing with selection of must, cold maceration (6-8 °c) during 3 to 6 days. In order to stop fermentation with the desired sugar rate, we proceed to a calculated sulphiting.
Story
The estate Château Grand Jean family Dyullon wine is produced since 1750. Once the vineyard area of the farm is only 12 acres, but now it is 130 hectares, located in the municipalities Sulinyak, Targon and Languaran on the slopes with clay-limestone rocks, and part of the territory is located in the best part of the Entre-Deux-Mayor of the south-west France. Great location vineyard Chateau and special terroirs provide ideal conditions for the production of fine wines. All wines are produced in the Château Grand-Jean, manufactured in strict compliance standards HACCP (Hazard Analyse Criticals Controls Points) and the INAO (Institut National Appelation d'Origine). Over the past 5 years used a technique of growing grapes IPM (Integrated Pest Management), which takes into account four main elements: weather conditions, vegetative action infectious risk and impact on the quality of the crop.
