Domaine Des Souchons Morgon Cote du Py 2016

This Côte du Py is rich and powerful. On the palate, it develops notes of black fruit, jammy fruit and roasting. wine offers ample and silky tannins.

The vinification is traditional but with a long fermentation phase allowing to extract the coloring intensity and the aromatic palette. Our Côte du Py cuvée is partially aged in 400-liter barrels, a container suitable for Beaujolais vintages because it allows a finer blend than conventional barrels.

Our estate is one of the oldest in the appellation and has grown steadily since the 1950s. It was in 1985 that the estate took advantage of the division of the appellation area of Cru Morgon into 6 climates , including the Côte du Py, which covers 3 hectares of the estate.
