Story
The classical dry red wine comes from the appellation Margaux in Médoc. The long history for the chateau dates back to 1622. The estate was sold in 1671 to an order of Carmelite nuns. Fifteen years later, a new owner purchased the estate. During the 18th century the estate passed to the irish family Lynch (who's founded also Lynch Bages in Pauillac). The 120 hectare, Left Bank Chateau Dauzac vineyard has a terroir of gravel based soils. The vineyard is planted to 58% Cabernet Sauvignon, 37% Merlot and 5% Cabernet Franc.
