Nose
Rich and complex, the nose mingles fruity (blueberry, little wild berry), spicy (pepper) and floral (violet) fragrances.
Palate
The palate is refreshing with a wonderful balance, finesse and precision. Licorice notes, black fruit and cocoa powder combine harmoniously into a power transferred by silky, melting tannins.
Story
With origins dating back to the 18th century, when the estate was part of the Seigneurie de Lafite, Château Clerc Milon takes its name from the Clerc family, who owned the hamlet of Pauillac where Château Milon was located. In 1855, the estate was awarded the title of Fifth Cru Classé, making it one of the Médoc's greatest crus. In 1970, Baron Philippe de Rothschild decided to acquire the estate in order to bring out the full potential of this great terroir. In 2007, Château Clerc Milon acquired a new fully gravity-fed vat room, followed in 2011 by a semi-underground barrel cellar and a reception and tasting room.
