Santinumi is made from 100% montupulciano D'Abruzzo from Loreto Aprutino Pescara in Abruzzo province. For making this wine, only specially selected grapes are used. This wine undergoes a 12-month maturation in large oak barrels and 12 months on barrique and to improve the aging the wine is kept in the cellar for another 12 months in the cellar. This wine has a deep garnet red color, is complex and intense. The nose is fine and elegant with great intensity as well as balanced, concentrated, full-body, warm, enveloping and inviting with soft tannin and long aromatic aftertaste. Santinumi has the ideal taste of lots of ripe red fruit, jam, licorice, black pepper and roasted nuts and coffee which makes this wine very complete. Superb with red meat and old cheeses and can be stored between 12 to 15 years.
