Information
A dry, tightly structured, mineral style. Released with bottle age. Gently developed secondary aromatics of toast, butter, beeswax and grilled lemon over still strong mock orange, mandarin pith and cream notes. Intense palate with surprisingly soft structure and gentle phenolics. Complex mixture of fruit and secondary notes; peach, mandarin orange and lemon curd with hints of toast, honey and biscuit. Acid structure is very harmonious, giving a juicy and mineral finish.
Winemaking
The oldest current vintage of a New Zealand Riesling currently available in Europe. Dry Riesling has been tucked away in cool storage since bottling in 2009. Released mid-2017 in all its citrus and floral glory, this complex yet surprisingly soft estate wine is ready to enjoy now or over the next five years (when it's mellowed even more).
